Join us as we welcome renowned composer and conductor Esa-Pekka Salonen in conversation about his career and his iPad app, The Orchestra—an interactive, immersive experience that gives users a 360-degree view of classical music. Learn what inspires him to create in the worlds of both music and tech. Salonen and the Philharmonia Orchestra will close the evening with performances of works by Lutosławski and Sibelius, as well as a movement from his own award-winning Violin Concerto, featuring soloist Leila Josefowicz.
