ich kann auf meinem MacPro 6,1 macOS X Mojave nicht Installieren.
Bekomme immer diese Meldung: macOS kann nicht Installiert werden, da der in deinem Mac installierte Speicher eines anderen Anbieters nicht Kompatibel ist.
Habe nach dem mir die 500 GB SSD vom Apple gestorben ist, eine Aura Pro SSD 2 TB eingebaut, High Sierra installiert, alle Updates ohne Probleme gemacht.
Wollte jetzt auf Mojave gehen und bekomme die Meldung (macOS kann nicht Installiert...) werden, selbst das drüber Installieren von mac OS X 10.13.6 um das Problem zu beheben löst die gleiche Meldung aus.
Auch das Rechte Reparieren und den Ram zurücksetzen hilft nicht.
Kennt jemand das Problem und kann helfen?

Es muss ein Firmware-Update für die SSD installiert werden. Blöderweise habe ich kein Update für die Mac-Pro-Aura-SSDs gefunden, nur für sonstige Modelle:

I apologize that you are having difficulties with getting MacOS Mojave installed on your Aura SSD.

We have found that newest version of MacOS High Sierra 10.13.4 as well as Mojave have included new requirements which make it much more difficult to be placed on certain drives that the installer deems not compatible with MacOS. We have seen this issue occur with multiple drive formats including external drives, RAID structure drives, and even internal HDDs as well.

We unfortunately cannot control how the MacOS installer will survey a drive before installing, however we do know of another workaround to get MacOS installed onto the Aura SSD, and it requires the use of cloning software, such as Carbon Copy Cloner or Super Duper.

Step 1: Time machine backup your Aura SSD.

First, we need to start by running a Time Machine backup of your personal data that is currently on the Aura SSD. We will be needing this to restore your personal data back into the Aura drive after this procedure. You can also do a clone backup if you would prefer to.

Step 2: Installing Mojave to your Apple SSD

We will need to use your Apple original SSD that may still be in your Envoy enclosure, and install Mojave onto that drive. As we mentioned before, we may not be able to install the MacOS Externally based off of the new OS install requirements, even though it is an Apple drive. Please install the Apple SSD into your Mac, and upgrade all the way to Mojave on that drive.

Step 3: Cloning your Mojave MacOS to the Aura

After Mojave is installed on the Apple SSD, install the SSD back into the Envoy enclosure, and Return the Aura SSD into the Mac.

Boot up your Mac while holding down the Option key on your keyboard. This will bring you to the startup manager, you will choose your Apple SSD in the external Envoy, and boot into it. Once you are booted into that drive and it is updated to Mojave, go ahead and download the Carbon Copy Cloner program, and get it installed on the Apple original drive.

If you don't have an enclosure for your Apple original drive, you can instead clone the OS from the Apple drive into a secondary external drive first, and then clone it into the Aura drive afterwords using these same steps.

The next step is to clone that Apple original MacOS install into the Aura SSD using Carbon Copy Cloner, choosing the Apple original SSD as the source, and the Aura SSD in the Mac as the destination.

Step 4: Restoring your personal data back onto your Aura

Once you have Mojave on the Aura SSD, you can then boot into that drive, and begin to migrate your personal data from a time machine or another drive using Migration Assistant, which is located in the Applications/Utilities folder.

After this is completed, you will officially be on Mojave on your Aura SSD, and your personal data will be back on your drive as well.

I do sincerely apologize that this installation has become much more difficult, but this is unfortunately something that is not in our control. We are still working with our technology partners in the meantime to see if we can get a resolution to this issue that does not require this workaround. Ein Apple SSD habe ich ja nicht mehr, aber ein Klon auf einer anderen SSD von meinen MBP 2018, ging auch,
in Verbindung mit einem CCC Backup war dann alles wieder gut.

Wollte eigentlich mal eine Aura Pro X kaufen. Da die aber seitens OWC explizit nur für die Verwendung ab High Sierra angegeben wurde, kam mir das ziemlich wacklig vor. Zu viel Risiko, dass irgendwann etwas nicht mehr läuft.

Du hast die Aura oder die Aura Pro X? Denn zur Pro X steht in der Produktbeschreibung „for High Sierra and beyond“. Dann sollte die auch für Mojave gehen. Aber bei OWC weiß man nie...bei der Aura steht ja auch „Mac OS 10.9 and up“.

Ist prinzipiell ein ähnliches Problem wie schon bei High Sierra welches sich nicht auf Raids installieren lassen will. Besser gesagt die Lösung ist die gleiche wenn auch der Weg unbefriedigend ist
Man müßte echt mal den Installer zerlegen und diese leidigen Abfragen und ggf. Konvertierung zu APFS da raus nehmen.
